Broadway’s sizzling sensation “Hell’s Kitchen” is set to welcome the talented Kelsee Kimmel as the standby for the role of Jersey. While her first performance date is still under wraps, excitement is bubbling over as she gears up to step into this vibrant role!
Kimmel will be taking the reins from original standby Donna Vivino, who wraps up her duties on December 1. Vivino will temporarily take center stage as Jersey from December 3 to 11 before bidding farewell to the production at the Shubert Theatre. What a whirlwind, right?

With a rich resume under her belt, Kimmel’s no stranger to Broadway. She shone as an alternate for Catherine of Aragon, Jane Seymour, and Catherine Parr in “SIX” and even portrayed Jane in the Toronto production. Her journey also includes tours of “Pretty Woman,” “Kinky Boots,” and “Rent.” Talk about a star on the rise!
Current cast members of “Hell’s Kitchen” include Maleah Joi Moon as Ali, Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane, and Brandon Victor Dixon as Davis. The fabulous Shoshana Bean will play Jersey until her final performance on December 1, after which Jessica Vosk will take over starting December 12. It’s a lineup you won’t want to miss!
“Hell’s Kitchen,” with a Tony Award-nominated book by Kristoffer Diaz and a score featuring both original and preexisting songs by the incredible Alicia Keys, tells the tale of rebellious New York City teenager Ali (Moon). As she strives for independence from her mother, Ali uncovers her hidden talent for piano playing. It’s a heartfelt journey filled with discovery!
Directed by Michael Greif and choreographed by Camille A. Brown, “Hell’s Kitchen” opened on April 20 and has already garnered 13 Tony nominations, winning awards for Moon and Lewis. Moreover, the musical’s original cast recording is up for the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. And guess what? The cast will even perform at the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! How thrilling!
